Medicare for Chiropractic, Part 1: Participation, Coverage Rules, and the Maintenance Line
Medicare feels intimidating until you understand what it actually covers and how it evaluates chiropractic claims. This course explains participation choices (PAR vs non-PAR) and walks through Medicare’s coverage requirements for chiropractic spinal manipulation, including the practical meaning of “active treatment.” You’ll leave knowing where the maintenance line is, what Medicare won’t pay for, and how to set expectations with patients before billing problems start.
Objectives:
Identify Medicare coverage requirements and common non-covered scenarios, including maintenance care.
