DC Version: Urinary System


In this session we will discuss anatomy and physiology of the urinary system.  We will detail the process of urine formation and its physiological implications.  We will then discuss the process of micturition and the clinical significance of urinalysis.

Dr. Ashley Owens-Stiltner

Dr. Stiltner is a professor of Human Anatomy and Physiology at Milligan University in Johnson City, TN.  She graduated from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2009 and has since enjoyed a robust teaching career while still practicing part time.  Her research interests include biomechanics, rehabilitation, nutrition, and physiology.  She currently resides in Bristol, TN with her husband, Andrew and mini schnauzer, Dexter.
