Description

This course is designed to help the practicing chiropractor make a clinical connection between the expression of a healthy immunity with lifestyle and gut function.  Attendees will be given a brief overview of gut physiology which will include neurological, endocrine, and relevant immune system components.  The immune system itself will also be reviewed with emphasis placed on the innate and adaptive components of the system.  Clinicians will have an operational understanding of how gut health is maintained through lifestyle and chiropractic care can positively impact the immune system.

Since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2002, Dr. Bhogal has been active in both education and private practice. For 20 years he has taught at several institutions and recently retired from academia with the rank of Professor and as the Head of the Technique Department at Life Chiropractic College West.

His diverse academic and curricular focus revolved around chiropractic technique and neuromuscular skeletal diagnosis. Dr. Bhogal was extremely active with student leadership organizations and is well recognized for his excellence in educational instruction. His passion for chiropractic continues in private practice where he blends his academic background with clinical experience and helps patients that have been labeled “complex cases”.   With his advanced education in diagnosis (DABCI) and Functional Medicine, Dr. Bhogal works hard to help patients heal and sustain health, with an emphasis on healthy living.

Dr. Bhogal is published in The Journal of Manipulative and Physiologic Therapeutics having researched chiropractic techniques. He also was published in the Journal of Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics for his work with the Gut-Brain Axis and Autism related disorders in children. He currently serves on the Scientific Review Board for DaVinci Labs, where he maintains an active educational blog. He is also on the Editorial Board of the Natural Medicine Journal
