Cervical and Upper Extremity Complaints
In this course, you will learn the neurology of the Cervical and Upper Extremity areas. We will show you how these areas are common areas of complaint for new patients and how to help them. We will also show you how to find the problem in the spine through Ortho and Neuro testing, strategies to plan for rehab and how best to get a good result for your patient. We also address situations when referring out may be necessary.
Dr. Mike Powell is a nationally recognized Chiropractic Neurologist (there are only about 350 in the world). He sees a diverse patient population. Many of his patients are sent from other doctors and travel from out of the area for neurological care. His patients range from children with developmental and learning problems to adults who suffer from migraines, vertigo, tremors or the effects of brain injury. Dr Powell is a Bredesen Protocol Trained Doctor and is on a quest to help us all build healthy resilient brains.
Dr. Dan Watkins is from Knoxville, TN. He has been practicing since 2001 since graduating from Life University. He owns Volunteer Chiropractic located in Farragut and has been in that location for 13 years. He loves and appreciates the Art of Chiropractic and tries to convey this to his patients. He wants you to understand not only that Chiropractic can help but also why it can help. Dr. Dan is a Certified Chiropractic Sport Physician and a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Physician; a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has his certification in Acupuncture.
Dr. Dan is married to Keelie for 23 years and has 2 daughters, Lucy Kaye at the University of Tennessee and Sadie James who is in the 8th grade. They have 2 cats and 1 dog, so he is appreciative to get out of the house away from the chaos.
